The iPhone 14 Series Could Come In These Color Options

All devices in the iPhone 14 lineup will reportedly ship in a number of colors, including a new Purple option for the first time. The report comes a week after Samsung announced a new Bora Purple colorway for its Galaxy S22 smartphone. The Bora Purple S22 will be available for purchase from August 10 - the same day the company is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 smartphones. As for Apple, the boldest color it currently offers for its iPhone lineup is PRODUCT(RED), while the rest of the colors are relatively more understated.

Apple is expected to launch four models as part of its iPhone 14 lineup, including the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, the base iPhone 14 and 14 Max will reportedly have a lot of differences with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. They will not only have different processors and designs, but also different OLED technologies. According to a recent report, the lower-end iPhone 14 models will have low-cost LTPS OLED panels while the higher-end models will have more advanced LTPO panels.

In a Twitter thread earlier today, tipster @Jioriku revealed all the colors that the iPhone 14 lineup will supposedly be available in. According to the post, the base iPhone 14 (and presumably the iPhone 14 Max) will be available in Green, Purple, Blue, Black, White, and Red, while the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be offered in Green, Purple, Silver, Gold, and Graphite. The Purple will replace the Pink option in the base iPhone model, while for the 'Pro' models, it will take the place of Sierra Blue.

The tipster also confirmed a number of other features for the iPhone 14 lineup. For example, the iPhone 14 Pro will be made out of the same materials as the iPhone 13 Pro despite Apple earlier testing a Titanium option. They also claimed that the devices will offer the same storage options as last year, which means the base models will continue to offer only 128GB of storage. As for charging speeds, the tipster claimed that the iPhone 14-series will support 30W charging "for the first bit of a charge cycle" before dropping down to 25-27W.

The leaker also claimed that the MagSafe magnets in the iPhone 14 devices will be stronger than the ones on the iPhone 13 series, and that the new MagSafe Battery case will be larger and heavier than the ones launched last year. Finally, the Always-On Display feature will reportedly look identical to what's been seen in the recent Xcode leaks. Apparently, AOD will follow the lock screen widgets in iPhone 14 and Apple will not offer an option to customize them or make them different.
