Scott Disick and Amelia Hamlin set Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans and the media into a frenzy last week when they were reported to have toured estate properties together. At the time, many thought things between the two were heating up rather quickly after they first started stepping out together a few months back. Now that the rumors are spinning out of control, some context has been added to the star's recent house hunting date.
Despite all the criticism surrounding their budding romance, Scott isn't letting up on his newfound relationship with 19-year-old Amelia Hamlin. As the teenage daughter to The Real Housewives Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna and actor Harry Hamlin, the paparazzi has been having a field day with her new relationship with the father of three. In August, Scott ended his three-year relationship with Sofia Richie. The two parted ways following a brief reconciliation over the summer. Shortly after their split, Scott hit the dating scene hard before seemingly settling down with Amelia. The two were first spotted at Kendall Jenner's birthday party and were photographed on a cozy beach date just a few weeks later. Most recently, the pair were reported to have visited a massive estate together that left fans wondering if they were already preparing to share a home.
Fortunately, that couldn't be farther from the truth. “Scott invited Amelia to check out a few real estate investment properties with him,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “This wasn’t a date or even a romantic outing, but they’re obviously still hanging out and talking.” It turns out Amelia has acquired an interest in real estate, and who better than the Flip it Like Disick star to show her the ropes early on? “Amelia has shown some interest and seemed eager to learn about investing,” the source added. “Scott explained why it’s such a smart way to add another stream of income to your portfolio. When she found out he was going to look at a few locations in Westwood, he asked if she wanted to tag along, and she seemed thrilled to join him.” The spotting fueled speculation from fans after they viewed four ritzy estates in LA's high-end Westwood area.
But why was Scott even viewing the properties to begin with? Apparently, it's to expand his real estate portfolio. “Scott loves his Calabasas home,” the insider explained. “Because it’s perfect for his everyday needs. Plus, it’s close to [Kourtney Kardashian] and the kids." While the source added Scott isn't "completely closed off to the idea of relocating if something really stood out," the reality star has no plans to move anytime soon. He's just following in his grandfather's footsteps after growing up seeing his family develop a number of luxury resorts. As for Amelia, Scott hasn't shied away from leaving flirty messages on her Instagram posts. The two recently toyed around with their expectations for the New Year.
Meanwhile, Scott's ex Sofia recently decided to "cool down" her romance with Cha Cha Matcha founder Matthew Morton. She's enjoying the single life and spending more time with her family since they didn't at all approve of her past romance with Scott.
