Samuel L. Jackson has been having a grand time vacationing in France - documenting his escapades by regularly posting on social media - but duty calls, as he's back on the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home to reprise his role as Nick Fury. The actor first shared an image hinting at his return as the MCU character back in July. For a time, many believed that his tease was related to Avengers 4, which has been undergoing reshoots since the same time Far From Home started principal photography. But it was eventually confirmed that he'll be part of the forthcoming Jon Watts-directed sequel, following in the footsteps of Tony Stark, who appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Plot details for Far From Home are being kept tightly under wraps, considering that its narrative will hinge on what goes down in Avengers 4. But the film will bring the young New Yorker across the pond, as he embarks on a summer vacation around Europe. Unfortunately, it looks like Peter won't really be able to catch a break, with the sequel tipped to feature a slew of bad guys, including Mysterio, Vulture, Hydro-Man, Chameleon, and Molten Man. Good thing he'll get a set of helping hands via Fury getting involved.

Jackson announced that he's back on the set of Far From Home to reprise his role as Nick Fury by way of an Instagram post. Sadly, there's no image of the actor in his full character attire, although he shared his view from the make-up chair, revealing the fake facial hair he's about to put on. Based on the upload's geo-tag, filming is around North Woolwich, Newham, United Kingdom, which is less than an hour drive from where Tom Holland was spotted shooting for the sequel a couple of months ago. Check out the image below:
It's currently unclear what Fury has to do with Peter's future, considering that they haven't even met each other yet. However, considering that Fury remains committed to monitoring any threat to Earth - as well as the heroes that have the responsibility to protect the planet - even after S.H.I.E.L.D.'s fall, it's not outside the realm of possibility that he already has an idea who Spider-Man is. After all, Peter wasn't exactly discreet with his heroic adventures, as proven by Tony Stark during the Queens native's recruitment in Captain America: Civil War.
If that's not the case, the two may still cross paths in next year's Avengers 4. Both characters were part of the unfortunate half of the universe who were snuffed out of existence by the end of Infinity War, but given that fans already know what's next for them, they're expected to be brought back to life one way or another. Fans will get a better picture of the planet's state once it's revealed how Earth's Mightiest Heroes resolve the current Thanos debacle, but for now, they'll have to settle for knowing that both Peter and Fury will still be a part of MCU's Phase 4 in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
