The Transformers franchise's most recent installment on the big screen, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, included a shocking plot twist that has seemingly ruled out some of the most powerful Maximals from ever appearing in future movies. The Maximals originate from the Beast Wars TV show, and there are dozens of them across the Transformers universe. Unfortunately, while those characters will likely continue to have a future in animation, it now seems that Optimus Primal, Airazor, Cheetor, and Rhinox will be the only Maximals to appear in Transformers' live-action movies.
