Tetris is one video game that nearly everybody knows whether they play video games or not, and it is among the top-selling video games of all time despite it being available to play for free in many places. Many have heard the story of its history of being created by Alexey Pajitnov while he was working for the Academy of Science of the USSR, and the rocky start the game had before becoming the mega-hit that everyone knows and loves today. Pajitnov had to wait over a decade before he could get any compensation for his game, but now has a movie based on his experience and worldwide recognition for his work on Tetris.
