Pokémon Legends: Arceus involved a time travel storyline, where the protagonist was a teenager from the present day, who was sent back in time to the Hisui region. The next Pokémon games will be set in the current era, as Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Paldea region has the modern technology seen in most mainline Pokémon games. If there are more Pokémon Legends games released in the future, then they need to dump the time travel plot and just have a story set in the past.
