Green Arrow is easily one of the DC Universe’s most underrated superheroes, and while he is often compared to Batman, he actually has far more in common with Superman. Oliver Queen, once a selfish socialite who used his vast wealth for a life of hedonism, had an epiphany upon being shipwrecked and marooned on a remote island, resolving to use his vast wealth, intellect, and aptitude for archery for the sake of social justice as Green Arrow. While Green Arrow shares many basic similarities with the Dark Knight, his methods of crime fighting more closely resemble those of Superman in DC’s Golden Age, with both heroes striving to not simply fight crime, but fight the conditions that create it.
