    Fossil has begun rolling out Wear OS 3 to the Fossil Gen 6 smartwatches, but for those expecting a successor, that won't be coming in 2022. Following the launch of Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5+ and Snapdragon W5 chipsets for smartwatches, the expectation was for manufacturers to announce new wearables powered by the latest chipsets. However, so far, only OPPO has unveiled new watches with the Snapdragon W5.
