Why Jinkx Monsoon Was The Rightful Winner Of RPDR All Stars Season 7

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 7 recently ended with Jinkx Monsoon being crowned "The Queen of All Queens," and while Jinkx was up against some seriously stiff competition, her second RuPaul's Drag Race win was more than justified. Jinkx joined fellow previous winners Raja, Yvie Oddly, Jada Essence Hall, Trinity the Tuck, Monét X Change, Shea Couleé, and RPDR UK's The Vivienne to battle it out for the $200,000 grand prize. The season premiered in May, and RPDR All Stars 7 was a hit with fans from the start, mostly due to its new and exciting format.

Instead of utilizing RPDR's typical lipstick elimination format to send home a queen each week, the top two All Stars each week received a "Legendary Legends" star. By the end of the competition, the four queens with the most stars faced off in a lip-sync battle to determine the winner. In addition, the queen that won each week's "Lip-Sync For Your Legacy" battle was given the power to block a fellow competitor from receiving a star the next week. This might hinder their chances to join the top four. In the end, Jinkx from RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars made it to the top four alongside Trinity, Monét, and Shea. The remaining queens separately battled it out to determine the "Queen of She Done Already Done Had Herses."

While RPDR season 3 winner Raja eventually walked away with the secondary crown and a cool $50,000, it was Jinkx who won the ultimate title of All Stars season 7. Although some queens, such as Raja and Jada, were thought by fans to be robbed throughout the competition, Jinkx was the frontrunner from the start, which is why her ultimate victory not only makes fans happy, but logically makes the most sense. Here's a few reasons why Jinkx was rightfully chosen as the "Queen of All Queens."

While Jinkx didn't end the competition with the most stars (runner-up Monét came out on top with five), she was blocked twice by her fellow queens, while her competitors were only blocked once. Despite this, Jinkx won the most main challenges, with five wins. She also won the most "Lip-Sync For Your Legacy" battles, with three wins. Whether the All Stars queens were tasked with improvising skits, performing rehearsed acting scenes, or delivering public speeches, Jinkx always found a way to come out on top. In fact, Jinkx was only shown to legitimately struggle during the show's infamous sewing challenge.

There are a few staple challenges that RPDR fans look forward to each season, with the most anticipated arguably being Snatch Game. Tasked with impersonating famous celebrities, the All Stars played two games with different characters. While Jinkx's first choice, Natasha Lyonne, was impressive, it was her Judy Garland impression that was quickly applauded as the best Snatch Game performance in herstory. Between her well-timed jokes, uncanny singing, and acknowledging her makeover partner Dave from season 5, it'll be practically impossible for any future queen to perform a better Judy Garland than Jinkx.

Self-described as an internationally tolerated theatrical single mother, Jinkx's chaotic but endearing persona has acquired her millions of fans since her appearance on RPDR season 5. Although Jinkx has been underestimated in the past, her unique spin on challenges, runway looks, and lip-syncs always shows off her undeniable charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Between choosing to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for a dance TikTok, or recounting a story about being hit by a car in a "draguation" speech, Jinkx never fails to put her own personalized spin on things. This is why she deserved her "Queen of All Queens" accolade on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 7.
