Every PC Pre-Order Bonus For Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered

Insomniac Games is enticing potential (and returning) players with pre-order bonuses for the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, which releases on August 12, 2022. The enhancements worked into the game improve overall graphics performance, including visual quality of detail and the rendering system, and adds a multi-monitor display option for a more immersive, surround set-up. The PC version has PlayStation DualSense wireless controller support, and also boasts a customizable user interface for mouse-and-keyboard control.

Marvel's Spider-Man is a fan-favorite title, one of the best-selling on the PS4, and is a standard against which other Insomniac releases are compared. With a prime focus on providing an excellent gaming experience to all players, Insomniac did not make Spider-Man difficult for elite players. While not an overwhelming challenge, the combat is considered fluid, fast, and enjoyably improvisational. The game is especially loved for its web-swinging traversal; paired with new, visually-stunning graphics, the New York of Marvel's Spider-Man will be more breathtaking than before (and not just because Peter Parker is free-falling from a skyscraper).

Among the pre-order bonuses for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered are three early-unlock Spider-Man suits: the Iron Spider Suit, the Spider-Punk Suit, and the Velocity Suit. The Iron-Spider Suit was introduced in Avengers: Infinity War as a high-tech suit developed by Tony Stark. Normally this suit unlocks at level 31, but with the pre-order this and the other two suits will become immediately available via the in-game menu portal. All three suits have unique powers; the Iron-Spider Suit has "Iron Arms", which is an ability that increases burst damage and allows Spider-Man to hit multiple targets. While some of Marvel's best Spider-Man costumes are missing from the game, Punk-Rock Spidey (from Earth-138 in the comics) gets a nod with the Spider-Punk Suit. The special ability of this suit is "Rock Out," which blasts enemies upwards and then outwards when Spider-Man riffs on his guitar. Finally, there is the Marvel's Spider-Man original, the Velocity Suit. This suit has "Blitz," which propels Spider-Man like a cannonball through ranks of enemies.

In addition to the suits, pre-orders for Spider-Man Remastered also come with an extra five skill points right out of the gate. This tracks with Spider-Man's progression in the story because in Marvel's Spider-Man he is 23 years old and so already has experience and skills under his belt. It is one of the ways that Insomniac's Spider-Man changes from the films' portrayals of the character. Spider-Man also has more tools and high-tech inventions at his disposal, such as the Spider-drone, which is the final pre-order bonus. The Spider-drone is a combat-support gadget that provides crowd-control by stunning large groups of enemies with an energy pulse.

All of these pre-order goodies, with the exception of the five extra skill points, can be unlocked in-game during normal progression. But the lure of this remaster isn't in the progression; for many players who will be returning, the delight of this upgraded title will be in revisiting and seeing everything in a new way. Sometimes all a player wants to do is return to their favorite in-game haunts, or replay memorable battles. Thankfully, they'll be able to do that when Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered releases soon.
