In a deleted scene from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton Stracke admitted to offering Erika Jayne financial assistance amid her divorce from Tom Girardi. Despite her generous offer, Sutton is trying her best to stay away from Erika while she and Tom work through their legal issues. The lawyer was accused of embezzling at least $2 million in funds meant for the families who lost loved ones in the Lion Air 2018 plane crash. Erika has been tied to the case, as Tom allegedly embezzled $20 million into the singer's LLC.
After Sutton, who has quickly become a fan-favorite, expressed her concerns about Erika's involvement with the stolen money, she has been vocal about wanting to keep her distance from the singer. When she told Erika about how she felt at Kyle's Christmas dinner party, Erika took offense. However, Sutton wasn't the only one expressing concern about the legal issues, but no one admitted to it besides Sutton.
Bravo shared a never-before-seen clip from this week's RHOBH episode of Sutton revealing that she offered Erika money after her divorce. In the clip, which was shared on the @bravobybetches Instagram account, the 50-year-old explained to the group at Dorit Kemsley's house, which she is selling, how she initially offered the singer a loan and financial support. "I know what it's like to go through a divorce," Sutton said to the ladies. "I was in a position that I wasn't getting money. My attorney said to me, 'You need to have someone ready to give you money if you need it.'" Sutton then stunned her friends when she told them she offered financial assistance to Erika after her divorce.
The Georgia native said to Erika, "If you have a fall, you have a mattress to land on." However, the 50-year-old politely declined, and Sutton recalled how she may have received a "thank you" from her. Furthermore, Lisa Rinna, who wishes Amelia was dating Harry Styles, confessed that she asked Erika where she got the money to leave Tom, to which Erika replied, "I can't talk about that right now." After Lisa's revelation, the women looked shocked, and Dorit even let out a surprise, "Oh!" In a confessional, Sutton stated that she is now relieved Erika didn't accept her loan, as it would have put her "in a really bad jam," due to Erika and Tom's legal issues. Shortly after Erika filed for divorce, Tom was accused of stealing money from clients over the past 10 years.
The deleted clip offered a lot more background information as to why Sutton was so vocal about keeping her distance from Erika. Sutton could have potentially been entangled in the legal drama if Erika decided to accept her loan. The scene explained why Sutton was a little wary of being involved in Erika's situation compared to the other ladies.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8pm on Bravo.
