Braunwyn Windham-Burke is calling out Gina Kirschenheiter for sharing her text message with her husband, Sean. The Real Housewives of Orange County star feels Gina made the move to "weaponize" her and Sean's open marriage.
Braunwyn was plagued by family drama ahead of the current season of RHOC. Just last month, Braunwyn had a major fallout with her 18-year-old daughter, Rowan, on Instagram amid reports she and her husband of 20 years were nearing divorce. The mother of seven asked for "privacy" after Rowan told her "f–k you" in a harsh photo caption. Their family woes came amid rumors the Real Housewife had moved on from Sean with another woman. On the show, Braunwyn has discussed the openness she and Sean share in their marriage. During her first season, she shared a kiss with alum Tamra Judge and admitted to having threesomes.
Now, Braunwyn is speaking out after Gina accused Sean of sending her a “creepy” text message during the Wednesday, October 21, episode of RHOC. “Gina has never liked me from the beginning. You know, she’s always had a perception of me that is based on an idea. She’s never really taken the time to get to know me,” Braunwyn told Us Weekly. “I was saddened that she took something like that text message and made it into something else." The Bravolebrity went on to explain why Sean had even texted Gina to begin with. "We went to the tea party last year and we all went out after and we were drinking too much and she was very intoxicated," she recalled. "She couldn’t get her own Uber. And so Sean does something nice. He got her an Uber, got her home, was checking on her and make sure she was safe."
Braunwyn went on to express how betrayed she feels by Gina. "I felt very upset that you took a nice gesture and made it into something else.” She then accused her costar of sharing the text in an attempt to shade her and Sean's unique marriage. “I think because people on the show know that I’m attracted to women, it sort of gives them the sense that they can, I don’t know, weaponize it and make me into a predator,” Braunwyn explained. “There’s something about that that doesn’t sit right with me, that when it comes to same-sex relationships, it’s somehow like dirty or inappropriate. And I think more than the text message, it’s her weaponizing my sexuality that really got to me."
Braunwyn recently revealed that she and Sean are living separately, but are still together. She admitted that she is seeing "someone special" and that her husband is fine with it. The two most recently shared vacation photos together on social media.
