All 10 Superhero Shows Returning Or Premiering In Fall 2018

The new fall season is fast approaching and with it the return of all your favorite superhero shows and some long-awaited premieres. Of course, keeping track of everything from Legends of Tomorrow to Daredevil is a daunting task for even the most spirited of fans, with many beloved shows changing nights and time-slots between seasons. Sometimes they even change networks!

Fear not, True Believers! We've got the full run-down of every superhero series your heart could desire that's been given a definitive release date in the final months of 2018. That way you'll all have plenty of time to make sure your subscriptions are current and your DVRs are properly programmed.

There's a total of ten shows to get excited for, with one brand new show that will require a new streaming subscription. From the Arrowverse to Marvel Netflix by way of DC Universe, here's everything worth getting excited about.

Iron Fist - September 7

Following the events of the first season of The Defendersthe second season of Iron Fist will see martial-arts master Danny Rand stepping up to become the defender of New York City. Details on the story for the season beyond that are scarce, but it is known that Alice Eve will appear as the villain Typhoid Mary.

When: Available for streaming starting Friday, September 7.

The Gifted - September 25

The first season of The Gifted saw The Strucker Family go into hiding when their teenage twins manifested mutant powers while at a school dance. The new season will see the conflict between the Mutant Underground and the Hellfire Club over the fate of mutant-kind intensify, as the series introduces more characters and concepts from the original X-Men comics, including The Morlocks and The Purifiers.

When: Airing weekly starting on Tuesday, September 25, at 8 pm EST/7 pm CST.

The Flash - October 9

Continuing immediately where season 4 left off, the new season of The Flash will see a new speedster in Central City - XS, aka Nora West-Allen. Naturally Barry Allen and Iris West are worried about what effect their future daughter coming back to their past might have on their present. The new season will also pit Team Flash against a mysterious new villain called Cicada.

Black Lightning - October 9

The first season of Black Lightning saw high-school principal Jefferson Pierce come out of retirement as a vigilante to defend his hometown of Freeland and rid the streets of a new drug called Green Light. With his daughters Anissa and Jennifer having developed powers of their own, the new season will see Jefferson training his daughters to help him in the battle against crime-boss Tobias Whale, who has cemented his hold Freeland's underworld and formed his own gang of super-powered criminals.

Titans - October 12

Based on the classic Teen Titans comics of Marv Wolfman and George Perez, this premiere live-action series for the new DC Universe streaming service will offer a decidedly mature take on how DC Comics' most famous group of young superheroes was formed. Drawing a good deal of publicity from its first controversial trailerTitans has already inspired a spin-off series, Doom Patrol.

When: Available for streaming starting Friday, October 12.

Supergirl - October 14

Following the threat posed by the Kryptonian World-Killers, the new season of Supergirl will see Kara Zor-El and her allies in the DEO having to contend with a violent "Humans First' movement that threatens the life of every alien trying to live peacefully in the United States. Thankfully, Kara will have new heroic allies and a new costume to help her fight against the jingoistic Agent Liberty.

When: Airing weekly starting on Sunday, October 14, at 8 pm EST/7 pm CST.

Arrow - October 15

The last season of Arrow saw Oliver Queen save Star City from crime-boss Ricardo Diaz. The victory was a Pyrrhic one, however, with Diaz evading arrest and Oliver having to reveal himself to the world as Green Arrow before pleading guilty to a host of federal charges in order to secure the FBI's help against Diaz's criminal empire. Now, as Oliver Queen is fighting for his life among the criminals he helped to put away and the rest of Team Arrow is hamstrung in their efforts to protect Star City by a police force and civic government more concerned with vigilantism than organized crime, Diaz is plotting revenge.

When: Airing weekly starting on Monday, October 15, at 8 pm EST/7 pm CST.

Legends of Tomorrow - October 22

The new season of Legends of Tomorrow will see the titular team of time-traveling superheroes joined by warlock John Constantine. The team's battles with the demon Mallus had an unintended side-effect of releasing numerous mythological monsters and now the Legends must help everyone's favorite Master of the Dark Arts to put things right.

When: Airing weekly starting on Monday, October 22, at 8 pm EST/7 pm CST.

Runaways - December 21

Picking up right where its first season ended, the second season of Runaways will see our teen protagonists finally running-away from home after being framed for murder by their super-villain parents.

Where: Hulu

When: Available for streaming starting Friday, December 21.

Daredevil - ???

Fans have been waiting for Season 3 of Daredevil for a long time - it's almost two-and-a-half years since season 2, and over a year since he was last seen in The Defenders. After new runs in 2018 for Jessica JonesLuke Cage and Iron Fist, the Man Without Fear is set to round out the year. Netflix haven't announced any release details yet, but a safe bet is October. As for story, Daredevil season 3 will pick up with Matt Murdock presumed dead after The Defenders and feature villain Bullseye.
