According to the Monarch Sciences website that has been set up to promote Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla just stopped off for a visit with his arch-nemesis, King Ghidorah. An enormous three-headed dragon, Ghidorah is currently being held in Monarch custody... though that's mainly because Monarch found him frozen in the Antarctic and built a facility around him, so there's not much to stop him breaking free. Based on the trailer that debuted at Comic-Con, it doesn't look like Ghidorah will remain caged for long.
One of the most intriguing features on the Monarch Sciences' world map is a moving red blob that represents Godzilla, who has been on quite an interesting journey since the website launched. After stopping off in San Diego for Comic-Con, Godzilla traversed the Pacific Ocean and passed by Skull Island (the home of King Kong), before diving into the Mariana Trench and vanishing for a while (providing further evidence for the Hollow Earth Theory).

When Godzilla finally resurfaced he began heading south, to the Antarctic, and as you can see in the image below, he paid a visit to Ghidorah while he was down there. Since then he has circled the continent and is currently heading due east - though if he turns and starts heading north he will eventually reach the Monarch facility on Isla de Mona, where "winged A-bomb" Rodan currently lies in pyrostasis within an active volcano.
The Monarch Sciences website offers some stats on Ghidorah that are pretty terrifying. Also bearing the moniker "Monster Zero," Ghidorah stands at a dizzying height of 521ft - dwarfing even the recently beefed-up Godzilla. His wings are so powerful that "their massive aerodynamics could generate hurricane-force winds when in flight," and Ghidorah's ability to conduct electrical currents through his scales means that his wings also heat the air around them, creating massive storms. Monarch estimates that if Ghidorah were to take flight again, "the stratosphere would be torn open by an otherworldly tempest of thunder and lightning our sky has never seen."
Whether Godzilla's movements on this map are just a bit of fun, or whether they are actually telling a story about what happens in the lead-up to Godzilla: King of the Monsters, it's certainly interesting to watch the giant lizard traverse the globe. Ghidorah is a long-standing enemy of Godzilla, so Godzilla may have visited him just to make sure that he was still frozen, or even to taunt him through the ice.
There's still the better part of a year to go before Godzilla: King of the Monsters arrives in theaters, so this probably isn't the last step of Godzilla's journey. It will be interesting to see if the other data on the website changes - for example, if the dormant Titans start to wake up.
