The Fortnite season 5 week 8 challenges are now available to complete. Completing challenges nets players Battle Stars, increasing their overall tier for the season, which maxes out at 100. The higher the tier, the more limited-edition rewards they have access to, like unique skins and experience boosts. These weekly challenges are available to all players who hold a season 5 Battle Pass, which costs 950 V-Bucks (about $10).
Season 5 of Fortnite has seen loads of new additions to the game, like the Galaxy skin and the Ace Starter Pack. Epic Games has been prioritizing the services they provide more than ever by regularly adding to the game. They have even completely revamped the way in which players pay for microtransactions, by adding a new way of securing their payment details, for which they are rewarded with the Boogie Down emote.

Before season 6 comes along, Fortnite players still have to get through the season 5 week 8 challenges, which are as follows:
- Place traps (10)
- Search chests in Wailing Woods (7)
- Shotgun eliminations (Hard; 4)
- Deal damage with a pickaxe to opponents (250 damage)
- Use a rift at different rift spawn locations (10)
- Search between three oversized seats (Hard; 1)
- Stage 1 of 3: Eliminate an opponent in Greasy Grove (Hard; 3)
Reddit users thesquatingdog and Qpaniic have prepared maps which will help players track down everything mentioned above. The first map, by thesquatingdog, even features the Hidden Battle Star for week 8, as well as pinpointing rift spawns and the location of Greasy Grove. Players will complete most of the challenges just by paying close attention to this map. Qpaniic's map will then help locate the treasure chests in the Wailing Woods, which aren't shown in the other map. If players adhere to the maps closely, they'll complete all of the above challenges in no time, and earn the maximum amount of Battle Stars for this week.
Regular challenges net 5 Battle Stars, whereas challenges marked as Hard will reward 10. If players complete four out of the seven challenges, they'll get the weekly award for week 8 Battle Pass holders. If all the challenges are completed, then players' tiers will increase drastically, bringing them one step closer to the limited-edition loot for season 5.
Fortnite has had a lot of updates of late, and there's more freedom for players to customize their character now than ever before. Although other games feature pay-to-win microtransactions, Fortnite's in-game purchases only give players a cosmetic advantage. That being said, you don't have to buy any Starter Packs, or the Season Battle Pass; however, one of the best parts of Fortnite is the ability players have to completely change the aesthetic of their character. The weekly challenges that Battle Pass holders have access to make the game far more interesting, and the rewards the players get from completing them are well worth it. With Season 6 just around the corner, players should start saving their V-Bucks to invest in a Battle Pass early on, so that they can get the maximum value out of their challenges.
