Apple Accidentally Leaks New iPhone Xs & Watch Series 4 Images

Images of the upcoming iPhone XS models and Apple Watch Series 4 have been leaked ahead of the products' official unveiling at the next major Apple event, which will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California on September 12.

In fall 2017, Apple announced and launched the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone X was particularly noteworthy for being the first phone in the series to use OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology, reducing drain on the phone's battery life and allowing for a thinner screen. The iPhone 8 had a more traditional LCD display, and as such was available at a lower price point, and it looks like Apple will be offering similar options this year.

The leaked images were first released by 9to5mac, along with a few design details. The iPhone XS will be available in 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch sizes, and will reportedly be offered in a new gold color (the iPhone X was only available in silver or space grey). Apple is expected to announce three new iPhones during the event: the two versions of the iPhone XS pictured below, which will have OLED displays, and a 6.1 inch LCD phone at a lower price point. Check out the leaked images below.

9to5mac also shared an image of the new Apple Watch Series 4, noting that the most radical change from the Series 3 is the new edge-to-edge design, offering a bigger overall display that can show more information. The Series 4 also boasts a redesigned digital crown and side button, as well as a new hole between them that is probably a microphone.

For gamers who like to play on the go, the iPhone XS is going to be the most intriguing reveal at the upcoming Apple event. The new phones will likely launch just in time for the release of The Elder Scrolls: Blades, an Elder Scrolls game designed specifically for mobile platforms, which is set for release in fall 2018. It could also be fun to try out the popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which came to ioS earlier this year, on the newest iPhone model. Hopefully Apple's announcement event will include details of how the iPhone XS has been optimized for gaming experiences.

Let us know what you think of these designs so far, and what you're hoping to see from the iPhone XS and Apple Watch Series 4, in the comments below.
